Job Description

Overview

  • Lead accounting operations for alternative investments, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and statutory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial reporting processes and enhance control environments.
  • Drive transformational initiatives to improve efficiency, automation, and accuracy in accounting workflows.
  • Supervise and review transaction processing, balance reconciliations, and internal/external reporting activities.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for accounting standards, providing guidance to stakeholders.
  • Evaluate system outputs to ensure proper accounting treatment for alternative assets.
  • Support audit processes, proactively addressing requests and ensuring compliance.
  • Contribute to broader organizational goals by delivering high-quality results and fostering collaboration.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Supervise transaction processing and balance reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Lead drafting of internal and external financial reports, including SEC disclosures.
  • Develop and implement transformation initiatives to enhance efficiency and control.
  • Perform risk assessments and identify optimization opportunities within accounting processes.
  • Guide junior team members through coaching and review of their work.
  • Research and apply accounting guidance to improve business processes.
  • Manage audit interactions, supporting routine and new requests effectively.
  • Handle preparation of assigned accounting tasks and perform applicable SOX controls.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.
  • CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of accounting or finance experience, 8 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in US GAAP and statutory accounting principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration and conflict resolution.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
