Job Description

Overview

  • Provide essential support to legal professionals in a dynamic environment.
  • Perform data entry, file maintenance, and case management tasks.
  • Assist with client intake and scheduling appointments.
  • Handle mail services and court-ordered document service.
  • Conduct conflict checks and manage case archives.
  • Provide translation and interpretation support as needed.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Maintain and update case files using proprietary systems.
  • Scan, upload, and archive legal documents efficiently.
  • Conduct intake processes at courthouse offices.
  • Generate routine reports and conduct conflict checks.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail services.
  • Provide oral and written translation and interpretation.
  • Assist clients with intake forms and referrals.
  • Maintain office reception and switchboard coverage.
  • Collaborate with external agencies for client referrals.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; paralegal training preferred.
  • Minimum two years of relevant work experience.
  • Fluency in Spanish or another language for translation support.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data management systems.
  • Strong writing, verbal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Commitment to advocacy for low-income individuals.
  • Experience in legal or relevant work environments preferred.
