Job Description

Overview

  • Support the implementation of investment strategies for diverse portfolios, ensuring compliance with firm and client guidelines.
  • Collaborate with investment and operations teams to execute equity trade instructions effectively and accurately.
  • Ensure high-quality client service through precise reporting and responsive communication.
  • Participate in portfolio reviews, cash flow management, and compliance monitoring tasks.
  • Maintain and update client portfolio guidelines, ensuring adherence to compliance standards.
  • Engage in meetings with the investment team to align on strategy changes and operational implementation.
  • Contribute to the operations team’s goals through active participation and collaboration.
  • Research and address portfolio dispersion issues, preparing materials for management reviews.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Create and execute domestic and foreign equity trade instructions adhering to compliance guidelines.
  • Monitor pre-trade compliance alerts and conduct manual reviews for adherence to client restrictions.
  • Respond to operational inquiries and provide accurate client reporting and correspondence.
  • Maintain security setup and valuation review processes to ensure data integrity.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to update and refine RFP responses.
  • Administer compliance rules and review sanctions and restriction lists for portfolio adherence.
  • Prepare and submit trades for model manager accounts and retail platforms.
  • Contribute to the firm’s operational excellence by participating in team initiatives and improvements.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, preferably in finance or business.
  • 2-4 years of experience in portfolio management or a related role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and portfolio trading systems like InData.
  • Understanding of portfolio compliance and fund regulations such as UCITS/40 Act.
  • Experience with portfolio analytics systems like FactSet and knowledge of ESG monitoring.
  • Ability to manage client portfolios, including UMAs and wrap programs.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for trade compliance and reporting tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and internal teams effectively.
