Overview
- Lead clinical and therapeutic operations within a residential program for youth aged 12–18 with complex mental health diagnoses.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective service delivery and therapeutic outcomes.
- Oversee compliance with accreditation, agency, local, state, and federal regulations.
- Provide leadership and guidance to middle management and clinical staff.
- Develop and implement trauma-informed care strategies and youth-driven routines.
- Ensure quality assurance and adherence to program standards and policies.
- Promote collaboration and accountability within the team and with external partners.
- Coordinate comprehensive treatment planning and discharge conferences.
- Support educational and emotional growth of residents through structured therapeutic approaches.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Supervise Assistant Directors and integrate unit and clinical service staff into cohesive teams.
- Facilitate regular program and staff meetings to ensure alignment and integration.
- Maintain consistent communication with teams, leadership, and external stakeholders.
- Oversee chart compliance and quality assurance processes.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards.
- Provide clinical and administrative supervision to leadership staff.
- Develop and implement clinical training standards and learning collaboratives.
- Collaborate with medical, psychiatric, and operational teams to integrate care and treatment.
- Prepare programs for audits and address staff concerns and complaints.
Job Requirements
- Master of Social Work degree required; LCSW, Psychologist, or Psychiatrist preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with emotionally disturbed adolescents.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a clinical setting.
- Experience with residential programs and therapeutic crisis intervention techniques.
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and youth-driven therapeutic practices.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and compliance standards.
- Ability to lead interdisciplinary teams and foster collaboration.
- Knowledge of accreditation and regulatory requirements for mental health facilities.
- Commitment to professional development and adherence to HIPAA guidelines.
