Job Description

Overview

  • Lead clinical and therapeutic operations within a residential program for youth aged 12–18 with complex mental health diagnoses.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective service delivery and therapeutic outcomes.
  • Oversee compliance with accreditation, agency, local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to middle management and clinical staff.
  • Develop and implement trauma-informed care strategies and youth-driven routines.
  • Ensure quality assurance and adherence to program standards and policies.
  • Promote collaboration and accountability within the team and with external partners.
  • Coordinate comprehensive treatment planning and discharge conferences.
  • Support educational and emotional growth of residents through structured therapeutic approaches.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Supervise Assistant Directors and integrate unit and clinical service staff into cohesive teams.
  • Facilitate regular program and staff meetings to ensure alignment and integration.
  • Maintain consistent communication with teams, leadership, and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee chart compliance and quality assurance processes.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards.
  • Provide clinical and administrative supervision to leadership staff.
  • Develop and implement clinical training standards and learning collaboratives.
  • Collaborate with medical, psychiatric, and operational teams to integrate care and treatment.
  • Prepare programs for audits and address staff concerns and complaints.

Job Requirements

  • Master of Social Work degree required; LCSW, Psychologist, or Psychiatrist preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with emotionally disturbed adolescents.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a clinical setting.
  • Experience with residential programs and therapeutic crisis intervention techniques.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and youth-driven therapeutic practices.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and compliance standards.
  • Ability to lead interdisciplinary teams and foster collaboration.
  • Knowledge of accreditation and regulatory requirements for mental health facilities.
  • Commitment to professional development and adherence to HIPAA guidelines.
