Job Description

Overview

  • Manage fund accounting operations for '34 Act Registered Funds' in a hybrid work environment.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data and reporting processes.
  • Collaborate with fund administrators, custodians, and auditors to maintain compliance.
  • Develop expertise in complex fund structures and public reporting requirements.
  • Contribute to process improvements and internal control development.
  • Support regulatory filings and investor communications.
  • Leverage technology to enhance operational efficiency and reporting accuracy.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Review monthly NAV packages prepared by third-party fund administrators.
  • Reconcile cash, positions, and activity between administrators and custodians.
  • Validate portfolio valuations and recalculate management and incentive fees.
  • Prepare and review financial statements for SEC filings.
  • Manage annual audit processes and liaise with external auditors.
  • Draft and review reports for events such as monthly subscriptions.
  • Oversee tax provider operations to ensure accurate investor K-1 delivery.
  • Maintain internal controls and contribute to SOC-1 report updates.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance fund finance functions.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in fund accounting or related roles.
  • Strong knowledge of SEC filings and public reporting requirements.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and technology tools for reporting.
  • Experience with internal controls and regulatory compliance processes.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
  • Preferred experience in managing '34 Act Registered Funds'.
  • Strong communication skills for liaising with stakeholders and auditors.
