Registered Nurse Supervisor

Overview

• Lead and supervise nursing care operations in a long-term care facility.
• Provide comprehensive resident assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain compliance with infection control principles and facility policies.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Supervise and evaluate nursing care provided to residents.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to establish and evaluate care plans.
• Direct emergency measures for changes in resident conditions.
• Monitor restorative nursing care and rehabilitation efforts.
• Facilitate daily reports and team conferences for care planning.
• Participate in staff orientation and educational presentations.
• Ensure economical utilization of supplies and equipment maintenance.
• Supervise medication and treatment administration processes.
• Contribute to facility performance improvement and compliance programs.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required.
• Current New York Registered Nurse License mandatory.
• 1-2 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• ANCC Certification in Gerontological Nursing is advantageous.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records systems required.
• Strong knowledge of infection control and nursing care standards.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills essential.
• Commitment to professional development and quality improvement.
• Ability to work on-site in a long-term care facility.
