Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Serve and file litigation papers electronically and by hand, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Docket court documents and track deadlines for active court cases.
- Monitor cases of interest through databases such as PACER and NYSCEF.
- Retrieve documents from federal and state courts and government offices.
- Act as a notary for attorneys and clients, ensuring proper document handling.
- Obtain legalizations for documents intended for foreign use.
- Interact with court personnel and attorneys to facilitate case processes.
- Provide guidance on court rules and procedures as needed.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts degree with a minimum GPA of 3.3.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for managing court filings and deadlines.
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency in legal databases.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Discrete handling of confidential information and flexible availability for overtime.
