Assistant Controller

Overview

• Lead financial reporting and accounting operations for a dynamic organization in a remote work environment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements and reports.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes efficiently.
• Ensure adherence to accounting principles and standards in all financial activities.
• Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets.
• Support the implementation of new accounting systems and software.
• Assist in the development of financial strategies to achieve organizational objectives.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or financial management.
• Preferred 10 years of experience in senior-level accounting roles.
• Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory compliance standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proven leadership and team management abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote setting.
