Overview
- Provide clinical and operational leadership to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered care delivery across assigned units.
- Maintain a visible, hands-on leadership presence across all shifts, serving as an operational authority during assigned coverage.
- Collaborate with Nurse Leaders, Nursing Professional Development, and interdepartmental leaders to align organizational priorities with frontline practices.
- Support American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) principles through staff engagement, accountability, shared governance, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, quality outcomes, and patient safety protocols.
- Promote staff readiness and effectiveness through operational leadership and validation of care processes.
- Facilitate throughput and staffing effectiveness to optimize patient care delivery.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Lead and oversee clinical operations to ensure high-quality patient care and safety.
- Monitor and validate care processes impacting patient experience and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve performance and achieve organizational goals.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to nursing staff, fostering professional development and accountability.
- Ensure effective staffing and throughput management to optimize care delivery.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and standards to ensure readiness.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license active and in good standing.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of acute care clinical experience.
- Prior charge nurse, coordinator, or leadership experience preferred.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and operational leadership skills.
- National Certification in Nursing Leadership or clinical specialty preferred.
- Ability to work on-site with alternating weekends and holidays.
