Job Description

Overview

  • Provide essential support to academic operations, focusing on registrar processes and major academic events coordination.
  • Assist in graduation clearance processes and maintain accurate student and program data records.
  • Prepare and distribute event-related communications, ensuring timely and effective dissemination of information.
  • Support the execution of major academic events such as Commencement and Research Celebration events.
  • Utilize office productivity tools to manage documents, spreadsheets, and presentations efficiently.
  • Coordinate summer programming logistics, ensuring smooth execution of activities and events.
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality while handling sensitive materials and communications.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and challenges, collaborating effectively within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Assist with student clearance processes leading up to major academic events.
  • Maintain and update spreadsheets tracking student and program data accurately.
  • Prepare and distribute communications related to events and programming.
  • Support the preparation of materials for events such as Commencement and Research Celebration.
  • Utilize Google Suite and Microsoft Office tools for efficient document and communication management.
  • Coordinate logistics for summer programming and monitor deadlines and schedules.
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure smooth execution of assigned tasks and activities.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism in all aspects of the role.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, preferably in Arts or Sciences.
  • Minimum two years of experience in an office environment, preferably in academia.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and challenges.
  • Experience in an academic setting is preferred but not mandatory.
