Job Description

Overview

  • Serve as a key executive leader overseeing financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and accounting policies.
  • Strategically partner with senior leadership to drive financial operations and governance.
  • Lead modernization efforts for accounting and order management systems.
  • Ensure compliance with SEC regulations and maintain rigorous internal controls.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, regulators, and counterparties.
  • Develop and lead a high-performing finance and accounting team.
  • Oversee financial operations across regulated and unregulated entities.
  • Contribute to the strategic growth and operational excellence of the organization.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Lead financial reporting, month-end close, and consolidation processes across multiple entities.
  • Develop and enforce accounting policies for structured products under US GAAP.
  • Manage regulatory reporting and capital compliance for SEC-registered entities.
  • Collaborate on compliance efforts related to SEC risk management requirements.
  • Partner with technology teams to modernize financial reporting systems.
  • Establish strong internal controls and governance frameworks.
  • Build and nurture relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors and regulators.
  • Drive intercompany arrangements and transfer pricing considerations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree required; CPA certification mandatory.
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive finance experience, including 5 years in senior leadership roles.
  • Deep knowledge of SEC or FINRA regulatory frameworks preferred.
  • Technical expertise in derivatives and structured products under US GAAP.
  • Experience with financial systems modernization initiatives.
  • Proven track record in regulated financial services environments.
  • Strong communication skills for translating complex financial matters.
  • Ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
