Overview
- Support billing operations for a leading client, ensuring compliance with firm guidelines and partner instructions.
- Prepare and e-bill high volumes of invoices, addressing compliance issues effectively.
- Collaborate with attorneys, clients, and colleagues to resolve billing-related concerns.
- Handle special projects and respond to internal and external billing requests.
- Ensure accurate and timely transmission of invoices via e-billing platforms.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of client, matter, and timekeeper information.
- Adapt to changing priorities and work demands in a hybrid work environment.
- Contribute to a collaborative team supporting one of the firm’s largest clients.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Monitor unbilled inventory for assigned matters to ensure timely billing.
- Generate billing reports and perform detailed analysis to ensure accuracy.
- Review client guidelines and verify draft invoices for compliance.
- Process transfers, write-offs, and adjustments as required.
- Prepare and finalize monthly and transactional bills for attorney review.
- Collaborate with partners and legal staff to resolve billing issues promptly.
- Ensure successful transmission and tracking of invoices via e-billing platforms.
- Report comprehensively to management on assigned objectives and responsibilities.
- Assist with special projects and maintain organized billing files.
Job Requirements
- Associate of Science degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of billing experience in a large law firm; 4 years preferred.
- Proficiency in e-billing platforms and resolving submission issues.
- Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and PivotTables.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work demands.
- Willingness to work overtime to meet deadlines and manage workload.
- Excellent communication skills with attorneys, clients, and colleagues.
