Job Description

Overview

  • Lead lateral recruitment efforts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and talent acquisition strategies.
  • Collaborate with partners and hiring teams to identify and secure top-tier legal professionals.
  • Monitor market trends and provide insights to refine recruitment processes and strategies.
  • Coordinate onboarding and integration activities for new hires, ensuring seamless transitions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with recruitment agencies and headhunters to access high-quality candidates.
  • Analyze hiring trends and attrition rates, presenting actionable insights to leadership.
  • Support the Visiting Lawyers Program, managing communication and recruitment activities effectively.
  • Contribute to the firm's talent management initiatives, enhancing overall recruitment effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage all aspects of lateral hiring, including agency coordination and candidate onboarding.
  • Monitor and analyze market conditions, providing recommendations for recruitment process improvements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external recruitment partners to ensure access to top talent.
  • Perform statistical analysis on hiring trends and attrition, delivering progress reports to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with managing partners to address practice group needs and review candidate applications.
  • Coordinate the Visiting Lawyers Program, managing candidate tracking, communication, and recruitment events.
  • Participate in job fairs and recruitment activities to attract qualified candidates for specialized programs.
  • Ensure compliance with confidentiality standards and address sensitive matters with discretion.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts degree required, with seven or more years of recruiting experience.
  • Strong preference for recruiting experience within a law firm environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills to interact effectively with personnel at all levels.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments while maintaining high organizational standards.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and reporting on recruitment trends and metrics.
  • Experience managing recruitment programs and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and address sensitive matters with discretion.
  • Energetic and motivated individual with excellent supervisory and interpersonal skills.
