  • Programs, Policies, and Guidelines: Devise and execute essential policies, operational guidelines, and programs to fortify risk management and supplier relationship management efforts.
  • Systems and AI: Establish and maintain systems dedicated to third-party risk management and SRM, with a focus on leveraging Artificial Intelligence for continuous process enhancement.
  • Development Programs: Design and deploy training initiatives for the Strategic Sourcing organization and broader company, in alignment with TPRM and SRM objectives.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Create and maintain a comprehensive metrics program to monitor performance effectively.
  • External Capabilities: Oversee key externally provided sourcing capabilities/services, including supplier risk monitoring and relevant data sources.
  • Relationship-building: Cultivate strong partnerships with internal stakeholders such as Financial Planning and Analysis, Finance Operations, Legal, Compliance, Human Resources, and peers within the Strategic Sourcing organization.

  • Bachelor’s degree required, with a preference for a technical discipline; Master’s degree (MBA, MS) desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role within large or medium-sized procurement/sourcing organizations, ideally with 1 year in the biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Leadership experience in implementing and managing best-in-class procurement/sourcing processes.
  • Proficiency in essential competencies such as communication, project management, relationship management, negotiation, financial acumen, analytical skills, technology aptitude, and professionalism.
  • Proven track record in successfully implementing process transformations and delivering significant savings across diverse environments.
  • Professional procurement certification (CPSM, MCIPS, etc.) desirable.
  • Experience operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and lean environment, coupled with excellent interpersonal, communication, leadership, and influencing skills.
