Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage the firm’s conflicts process, ensuring compliance with professional standards.
- Administer conflicts software, recommending and implementing upgrades for efficiency.
- Develop policies to improve conflicts processes and mitigate risks effectively.
- Analyze conflicts reports to identify and resolve potential issues proactively.
- Collaborate with the Office of General Counsel on complex conflicts resolutions.
- Evaluate conflicts waivers and determine screening requirements as needed.
- Provide training sessions for attorneys and staff on conflicts management.
- Supervise the conflicts team, ensuring timely and accurate checks.
- Conduct performance reviews and oversee onboarding of conflicts staff hires.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; JD or LL.M degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in conflicts management within a law firm.
- Proficiency in conflicts software such as Elite, Aderant, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of Rules of Professional Conduct governing conflicts of interest.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proven leadership and team management experience.
- Ability to interact effectively with attorneys and staff at all levels.
- Experience with legal research tools and proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under time constraints.
