Job Description

Overview

  • Provide specialized outpatient care for ear, nose, and throat conditions in a professional healthcare setting.
  • Perform evaluations, diagnoses, and treatments for ENT-related issues, ensuring high-quality patient care.
  • Conduct in-office procedures as needed, adhering to best practices and medical standards.
  • Educate patients on their conditions and treatment plans, promoting informed healthcare decisions.
  • Collaborate with primary care providers to ensure comprehensive patient care coordination.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient visits in the electronic health record system.
  • Work in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) environment, contributing to community health improvement.
  • Engage in professional development to stay updated on advancements in otolaryngology.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Evaluate and diagnose patients presenting with ear, nose, and throat conditions.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Perform in-office procedures such as biopsies, endoscopies, and other ENT interventions.
  • Educate patients on preventive care and post-treatment recovery strategies.
  • Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
  • Document patient interactions and medical procedures accurately in the EHR system.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the healthcare center.
  • Adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards applicable to the practice.

Job Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Otolaryngology.
  • Active or eligible New York State medical license.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in outpatient ENT care; 4 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in performing in-office ENT procedures.
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation.
  • Strong communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality care in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) setting.
