Job Description

Overview

  • Provide specialized outpatient neurological care in a community health setting, focusing on patient-centered treatment plans and collaborative care strategies.
  • Work part-time, offering expert medical services one day per week in a supportive environment.
  • Evaluate and manage a variety of neurological conditions, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes.
  • Interpret diagnostic tests and develop effective treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Collaborate with primary care teams to provide coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.
  • Educate patients and their families on condition management and preventive measures.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) documentation.
  • Contribute to the overall mission of improving community health through specialized neurological services.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients presenting with neurological symptoms and conditions.
  • Interpret and analyze diagnostic tests, including imaging and laboratory results.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient needs.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients on neurological conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation in the electronic health records system.
  • Stay current with advancements in neurology to provide evidence-based care.

Job Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Neurology.
  • Valid medical license in New York State or eligibility for licensure.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in outpatient neurological care; 4 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Strong diagnostic and treatment planning skills for various neurological conditions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with patients and healthcare teams.
