Job Description

Overview

  • Support end-to-end closing of primary and secondary loans, focusing on middle-market transactions and bespoke private credit structures.
  • Collaborate with Portfolio Managers, Traders, Legal, Counterparties, and Operations teams to ensure accurate and timely settlement of loan trades.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory obligations, and trading desk guidelines for loan market activities.
  • Analyze operational issues and implement process enhancements to improve settlement timelines and reduce risks.
  • Partner with technology teams to support automation and workflow optimization in the loan lifecycle.
  • Monitor settlement pipelines, proactively addressing bottlenecks and providing updates on expected close timelines.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage the full lifecycle closing of primary, middle-market, and syndicated loan trades, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to drive timely settlement and resolve documentation issues.
  • Review and validate trade documentation, including allocation notices, assignment agreements, and credit agreements.
  • Reconcile cash, positions, and accrued interest across systems, administrators, and agent banks.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory obligations surrounding loan market activities.
  • Analyze settlement breaks and operational issues, implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field preferred.
  • 5–10+ years of experience in Loan Operations or Trade Closing.
  • Expertise in closing primary allocations and middle-market/private credit trades.
  • Strong understanding of LSTA/LMA documentation and trade lifecycle processes.
  • Proficiency with systems like ClearPar, WSO, Allvue, LoanIQ, or similar platforms.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and communication abilities.
