Job Description

Overview

  • Provide counseling and case management services for clients with substance abuse issues in a supportive environment.
  • Develop individualized service plans addressing client-specific needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with community treatment providers to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation of service delivery.
  • Participate in social service delivery to all program clients.
  • Work on-site, Monday to Friday, with a structured schedule including an unpaid lunch hour.
  • Engage in crisis intervention and provide guidance to clients as needed.
  • Support clients in achieving recovery and maintaining sobriety through tailored interventions.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Deliver counseling services to individuals with substance abuse challenges based on their service plans.
  • Develop and implement service plans addressing clients' specific needs and goals.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate client records for documentation purposes.
  • Establish and maintain connections with community treatment providers for client support.
  • Prepare and submit comprehensive service delivery reports as required.
  • Participate in the overall delivery of social services to program clients.
  • Provide crisis intervention and case management services to clients in need.
  • Support clients in their recovery journey through tailored counseling and guidance.

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required for the position.
  • Current Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) certification by NYS Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in social services, including treatment planning and counseling.
  • Experience in individual and group counseling, case management, and crisis intervention preferred.
  • Strong ability to maintain accurate and comprehensive client records.
  • Proficiency in developing service plans tailored to client needs.
  • Ability to establish and maintain linkages with community treatment providers.
  • Commitment to supporting clients in achieving recovery and maintaining sobriety.
