Job Description
Overview
- Provide counseling and case management services for clients with substance abuse issues in a supportive environment.
- Develop individualized service plans addressing client-specific needs and goals.
- Collaborate with community treatment providers to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation of service delivery.
- Participate in social service delivery to all program clients.
- Work on-site, Monday to Friday, with a structured schedule including an unpaid lunch hour.
- Engage in crisis intervention and provide guidance to clients as needed.
- Support clients in achieving recovery and maintaining sobriety through tailored interventions.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Deliver counseling services to individuals with substance abuse challenges based on their service plans.
- Develop and implement service plans addressing clients' specific needs and goals.
- Maintain detailed and accurate client records for documentation purposes.
- Establish and maintain connections with community treatment providers for client support.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive service delivery reports as required.
- Participate in the overall delivery of social services to program clients.
- Provide crisis intervention and case management services to clients in need.
- Support clients in their recovery journey through tailored counseling and guidance.
Job Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required for the position.
- Current Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) certification by NYS Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services.
- Minimum of one year of experience in social services, including treatment planning and counseling.
- Experience in individual and group counseling, case management, and crisis intervention preferred.
- Strong ability to maintain accurate and comprehensive client records.
- Proficiency in developing service plans tailored to client needs.
- Ability to establish and maintain linkages with community treatment providers.
- Commitment to supporting clients in achieving recovery and maintaining sobriety.
