Job Description

Overview

  • Lead strategic, clinical, and operational initiatives for maternal and child health services, ensuring high-quality care and patient satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to advance care coordination and implement evidence-based practices across the continuum.
  • Drive performance improvement initiatives to enhance clinical outcomes and operational efficiency within the department.
  • Oversee fiscal stewardship, including budget preparation, financial management, and resource allocation.
  • Mentor and develop leadership capabilities among managers and frontline leaders, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
  • Ensure compliance with professional, regulatory, and accreditation standards within maternal and child health services.
  • Champion innovation and change, leveraging technology and data to modernize care delivery.
  • Contribute to the organization's mission-driven goals, focusing on quality, compassion, and community impact.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Provide leadership for labor and delivery services, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with physician leaders to enhance clinical outcomes and implement best practices.
  • Develop and maintain performance metrics to improve quality, affordability, and caregiver experience.
  • Oversee staffing, throughput, and care delivery models to meet patient needs and budgetary goals.
  • Lead budget preparation and execution, supporting leaders in achieving operational and financial goals.
  • Coach and mentor managers and frontline leaders, fostering continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Ensure compliance with professional, regulatory, and accreditation requirements within the department.
  • Leverage technology and improvement methodologies to modernize care delivery and enhance outcomes.

Job Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred if Master’s degree is not in Nursing.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience, preferably in maternal and child health services.
  • Washington State RN license required upon hire.
  • Nursing leadership certification preferred within two years of hire.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting and cost management expertise.
  • Proven ability to lead change using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with a servant leadership mindset.
