Job Description

Overview

  • Serve as a Technical Account Manager, managing client portfolios to ensure stable, secure, and compliant environments aligned with business outcomes.
  • Blend advanced troubleshooting with Microsoft cloud administration, proactively reducing risks and driving continuous improvement for client systems.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor, maintaining accurate documentation, standards, and actionable recommendations for client environments.
  • Support VCIO planning with technical insights, risk assessments, and implementable recommendations for lifecycle and budget planning.
  • Collaborate with service teams to ensure efficient escalation resolution, addressing root causes and reducing recurring issues.
  • Ensure client environments are standardized, well-documented, and operate with minimal unplanned downtime.
  • Manage Microsoft Modern Workplace and Cloud responsibilities, including Entra ID, Intune, Microsoft 365, and Azure administration.
  • Participate in after-hour maintenance windows or escalations as needed, ensuring business continuity.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Own technical health for assigned accounts, maintaining deep understanding of client infrastructure and business requirements.
  • Act as an escalation engineer for complex issues across identity, endpoints, Microsoft 365, networking, virtualization, and Azure.
  • Drive proactive improvements, identifying security gaps, operational risks, and performance issues, coordinating remediation efforts.
  • Maintain and improve client documentation, diagrams, standards, runbooks, and configuration records in the documentation system.
  • Oversee and validate technical implementations, ensuring solutions align with internal standards and vendor best practices.
  • Communicate effectively with client stakeholders, providing status updates and explaining technical concepts in business terms.
  • Track service trends and contribute to QBRs, offering insights on ticket drivers, recurring issues, and risk posture.
  • Manage Microsoft Modern Workplace and Cloud responsibilities, including Entra ID, Intune, Microsoft 365, and Azure administration.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree required, preferably in a related technical field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in IT, with 2+ years in a client-facing technical role preferred.
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft 365 administration, Entra ID management, and Intune device management.
  • Working knowledge of Azure fundamentals, including Azure Virtual Desktop and Nerdio optimization.
  • Certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) and Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102) preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, able to manage multiple clients and tasks effectively.
