Overview

  • Provide expert paralegal support for employment-based immigration cases, ensuring compliance with legal standards and regulations.
  • Prepare and manage visa applications, petitions, and client documentation with precision and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and clients to develop effective immigration strategies and solutions.
  • Conduct thorough research on immigration laws and policies to support case preparation and decision-making.
  • Maintain organized case files and ensure timely submission of applications and petitions.
  • Provide clear guidance to clients on immigration procedures and requirements.
  • Coordinate with relevant government agencies to track application statuses and resolve issues.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and dynamic legal environment, enhancing team efficiency and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare and file employment-based visa applications, including H-1B, TN, E-2, E-3, L-1, J-1, and O visas.
  • Assist in drafting and filing I-140 petitions and adjustment of status cases.
  • Conduct legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
  • Maintain and organize case files, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Communicate with clients to gather necessary documentation and provide updates.
  • Coordinate with government agencies to monitor application statuses and address inquiries.
  • Support attorneys in preparing legal arguments and documentation for cases.
  • Ensure compliance with immigration laws and regulations in all casework.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a related field such as law or political science.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in immigration law; 5+ years preferred.
  • Proficiency in preparing and filing employment-based visa applications and petitions.
  • Strong understanding of I-140 petitions and adjustment of status processes.
  • Excellent organizational skills for managing case files and documentation.
  • Effective communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration.
  • Ability to conduct legal research and apply findings to case preparation.
  • Familiarity with immigration laws and regulations, ensuring compliance in all activities.
