Overview
- Provide clinical supervision and leadership to the patient care team, ensuring high standards of care and operational efficiency.
- Deliver professional nursing care, including administering medications, treatments, and coordinating patient interventions.
- Support patient satisfaction, safety, and quality care initiatives within the healthcare organization.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to optimize patient outcomes and clinic operations.
- Manage scheduling, PTO requests, and daily huddles to ensure seamless clinic workflow.
- Oversee inventory management and preparation of clinical supplies and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with nursing standards, safety regulations, and organizational policies.
- Mentor and evaluate staff, providing training and feedback to enhance team performance.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses and Medical Assistants, delegating tasks and monitoring completion.
- Coordinate care team schedules and manage time-off requests effectively.
- Conduct patient care activities, including medication administration and vital sign monitoring.
- Prepare and manage materials for daily huddles and team coordination.
- Review patient charts for completeness and ensure accurate documentation in the electronic health record.
- Assist in recruitment, training, and performance evaluations of care team staff.
- Maintain infection control and environmental safety standards within the clinic.
- Collaborate with the Practice Administrator to manage clinical supplies and inventory.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution required.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in hospital or ambulatory settings.
- Current, unrestricted RN licensure in the State of New York required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Knowledge of nursing theory, regulations, and practices for patient care evaluation.
- Ability to maintain quality control standards and ensure compliance with safety guidelines.
- Proficiency in electronic health record management and medical chart reporting.
- Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills for effective team collaboration.
