Overview

  • Lead the Maternal Child Services department in a large healthcare facility.
  • Ensure high-quality patient care and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with physicians and departments to meet patient and family needs.

  • Provide leadership for assessment, planning, and evaluation of patient care.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Direct and oversee the Maternal Child Services department's daily operations.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for the department.
  • Manage departmental budgets and allocate resources effectively.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to nursing staff.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided by the department.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Active RN license in the state of practice or compact license.
  • Minimum of 5 years of recent leadership experience in Women Services.
  • Experience managing high-acuity facilities with over 3500 births annually.
  • Certification in area of specialty preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to achieve and maintain BCLS certification.
  • Proven ability to manage resources in a fiscally responsible manner.
