Overview

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare detailed estimates across various project phases, ensuring precision and alignment with goals.
  • Analyze project documents to identify scope, quantities, and cost implications.
  • Develop and manage subcontractor and supplier bid lists for comprehensive coverage.
  • Solicit, review, and evaluate subcontractor bids for accuracy and scope completeness.
  • Lead value engineering efforts to optimize project scope and budget alignment.
  • Assist in preparing GMPs, cost models, and narratives for client presentations.
  • Participate in preconstruction meetings and collaborate with project management teams.
  • Stay updated on construction materials, methods, and pricing trends.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of estimating experience with a commercial general contractor.
  • Preferred experience in healthcare, education, industrial, or complex commercial projects.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and construction technology platforms.
  • Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and materials.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment.
