Overview
- Perform nuclear medicine imaging and therapy in alignment with established protocols and standards.
- Educate patients about procedures, ensuring their understanding and cooperation during imaging processes.
- Prepare, administer, and manage radiopharmaceuticals following regulatory and safety guidelines.
- Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes during procedures.
- Operate imaging equipment, selecting optimal parameters for high-quality results.
- Analyze imaging results, addressing quality issues and ensuring accurate reporting.
- Maintain compliance with safety standards and perform equipment quality control checks.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Review patient history and physician orders, scheduling and preparing for procedures.
- Educate patients on imaging processes, ensuring their comfort and cooperation.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals and manage their storage and disposal.
- Monitor and respond to patient conditions during imaging procedures.
- Prepare and calibrate imaging equipment, troubleshooting issues as necessary.
- Perform imaging procedures, ensuring optimal positioning and exposure settings.
- Analyze imaging results, addressing quality concerns and ensuring accurate documentation.
- Adhere to safety protocols and perform routine equipment maintenance checks.
Job Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technologist program.
- Certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or certified in nuclear medicine (NM) by ARRT.
- State licensure if required by law.
- BLS certification through AHA or ARC CPR for the Professional Rescuer.
- Critical thinking skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with radiopharmaceutical management and imaging equipment operation.
