Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Perform mammography and breast sonography procedures, ensuring high-quality imaging results and patient safety.
- Educate patients about procedures, equipment, and expectations to ensure understanding and cooperation.
- Assist physicians with interventional procedures, including biopsies and localizations.
- Prepare and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring compliance with quality control standards.
- Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes, ensuring optimal care and safety.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve exceptional clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of imaging procedures and patient interactions.
Job Requirements
- Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
- Certification in Mammography (M), Breast Sonography (BS), or Breast Imaging Navigation by ARRT or ARDMS.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in mammography or breast sonography; 2 years preferred.
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
