Overview
- Lead law student and entry-level recruitment, hiring, and integration efforts for a prominent legal organization.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and committees to develop strategic recruiting initiatives.
- Manage orientation, onboarding, and integration processes for new hires and summer associates.
- Develop and maintain relationships with law school career services to enhance recruitment efforts.
- Design and implement summer associate programs, including training, events, and evaluations.
- Provide expertise in legal recruiting practices and standards, ensuring compliance and excellence.
- Supervise department staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Prepare and manage the annual recruiting budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Contribute to the firm's diversity initiatives and strategic marketing efforts.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage law student recruitment and entry-level hiring processes for the organization.
- Coordinate interview processes, including on-campus and in-office programs.
- Oversee the development and production of recruiting materials and competitive data.
- Plan and execute law school recruiting programs, receptions, and sponsorships.
- Collaborate with the Professional Development team on mentoring program pairings.
- Ensure completion of due diligence processes for candidates and maintain applicant tracking systems.
- Supervise and manage department staff, ensuring effective team management.
- Prepare reports and surveys related to recruiting activities and outcomes.
- Coordinate attorney departure processes and local office initiatives.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in law firm recruiting, with supervisory experience.
- Proficiency in legal recruiting practices, standards, and attorney development.
- Strong managerial skills and ability to lead a team effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of NALP standards and familiarity with VI Desktop, MS Word, and MS Excel.
- Flexibility to work onsite 3-4 days a week, with occasional extended hours.
- Willingness to travel as necessary for recruitment activities.
