Job Description

Overview

  • Perform MRI procedures on low and high field magnets under Radiologist supervision.
  • Utilize independent judgment to obtain image data for MRI diagnosis.
  • Work with patients across age groups, from newborn to elderly.
  • Contribute to a dynamic healthcare environment with growth opportunities.
  • Engage in continuous learning and skill enhancement within the imaging field.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care.
  • Adhere to MRI safety practices and federal guidelines for operations.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Operate MRI equipment and produce quality images within department standards.
  • Diagnose processing problems and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation for procedures.
  • Assess patients and ensure proper preparation for MRI exams.
  • Educate patients about procedures and document relevant information.
  • Ensure compliance with RIS and CPAC standards during operations.
  • Perform non-technical duties such as stocking rooms and transporting patients.
  • Train new staff and students on MRI procedures and safety practices.

Job Requirements

  • Associate of Science (AS) degree required; ARRT certification mandatory.
  • Certification in MR preferred; minimum two years of MRI experience desirable.
  • Proficiency in venipuncture and basic computer skills necessary.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively within a team environment.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently.
  • Strong reasoning, reading, and writing skills required for documentation.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient safety and adhering to operational guidelines.
  • Flexibility to work multiple shifts and adapt to changing schedules.
