Job Description

Overview

  • Perform CT and X-ray procedures under Radiologist and Supervisor direction, ensuring technical precision and patient safety.
  • Utilize independent judgment and initiative to apply ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.
  • Administer contrast agents and execute invasive procedures with proper technique.
  • Provide care across diverse age groups, from newborns to elderly patients.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and professional healthcare environment.
  • Participate in training new staff and students, fostering professional growth.
  • Maintain compliance with infection control, radiation safety, and departmental standards.
  • Engage in continued professional development and skill enhancement.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Operate CT and X-ray equipment, adhering to technical specifications and safety protocols.
  • Perform venipuncture and administer contrast media, ensuring patient safety and documentation.
  • Maintain patient records and utilize RIS for accurate data management.
  • Assess patients and prepare them for exams, documenting relevant information.
  • Educate patients about procedures and address their concerns effectively.
  • Ensure workspace cleanliness and organization, supporting operational efficiency.
  • Attend departmental meetings and contribute to team discussions and initiatives.
  • Perform non-technical duties, including stocking rooms and transporting patients.

Job Requirements

  • Associate of Science (AS) degree and graduation from an accredited ARRT program.
  • Current ARRT certification and proficiency in CT and X-ray procedures.
  • Preferred two years of experience in CT and X-ray imaging.
  • Ability to perform venipuncture and administer contrast media safely.
  • Basic computer skills for record management and equipment operation.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently.
  • Commitment to infection control, radiation safety, and patient care standards.
  • Strong reasoning, communication, and teamwork skills.
