Job Description

Overview

  • Support attorneys in delivering high-quality legal services to clients in a hybrid work environment.
  • Prepare and proofread legal documents, spreadsheets, and presentations with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Assist in court filings, electronic submissions, and document management tasks efficiently.
  • Coordinate firm resources and schedules to ensure seamless operations.
  • Provide virtual support to attorneys, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Utilize advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills to enhance work quality and productivity.
  • Adapt to shifting priorities and multiple demands across firm offices.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment by promoting teamwork and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Create, edit, and format legal documents for court and electronic filings.
  • Manage work requests, document scheduling, and coordination of firm resources.
  • Support attorneys in applying new technology for improved efficiency.
  • Maintain Extranet data and FTP sites for attorneys and clients.
  • Handle multiple demands and priorities while ensuring quality and timeliness.
  • Communicate effectively with attorneys and team members to meet client needs.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support firm operations.
  • Ensure compliance with firm policies and values in all tasks.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree and 7+ years of legal secretarial experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and document management systems.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to develop positive working relationships.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure.
  • Ability to provide virtual support and adapt to hybrid work arrangements.
  • Notary Public certification preferred for additional responsibilities.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
