Overview

  • Lead and oversee accounting operations for a dynamic organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic alignment with business goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver insightful financial reporting and support decision-making processes.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering growth and operational excellence.
  • Oversee monthly close processes, reconciliations, and multi-entity financial operations efficiently.
  • Provide expertise for audits, tax filings, and compliance projects, ensuring regulatory adherence.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing accounting processes for scalability and efficiency.
  • Engage in occasional travel to support multi-location operations and strengthen team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee general ledger activities, ensuring accuracy and robust internal controls across financial operations.
  • Coordinate monthly financial close processes, delivering timely and accurate reconciliations and reports.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports to inform strategic management decisions effectively.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and performance feedback regularly.
  • Support external audits and ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and regulations.
  • Manage tax reporting processes, including sales, use, and property taxes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Deliver actionable insights and analytics to support operational and strategic initiatives effectively.
  • Participate in special projects, leveraging financial expertise to drive organizational success.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required; CPA designation preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in multi-location or industrial distribution accounting.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel functions, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to manage teams and meet tight deadlines effectively.
  • Experience with ERP systems and multi-brand financial operations is essential.
