Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Oversee general ledger activities, ensuring accuracy and robust internal controls across financial operations.
- Coordinate monthly financial close processes, delivering timely and accurate reconciliations and reports.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports to inform strategic management decisions effectively.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and performance feedback regularly.
- Support external audits and ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and regulations.
- Manage tax reporting processes, including sales, use, and property taxes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Deliver actionable insights and analytics to support operational and strategic initiatives effectively.
- Participate in special projects, leveraging financial expertise to drive organizational success.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required; CPA designation preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in multi-location or industrial distribution accounting.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel functions, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage teams and meet tight deadlines effectively.
- Experience with ERP systems and multi-brand financial operations is essential.
