Job Description

Overview

  • Administer and optimize Linux systems to ensure high availability and peak performance.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams to support enterprise applications and infrastructure.
  • Implement and manage containerized workloads using Kubernetes and Docker technologies.
  • Support hybrid cloud environments, including provisioning and integration tasks.
  • Develop and maintain system configurations and operational documentation.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure operational efficiency through proactive measures.
  • Manage backup and disaster recovery systems to protect critical data.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for IT operations and processes.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting for Linux server environments.
  • Administer lifecycle management and patching to maintain system reliability.
  • Optimize containerized workloads using orchestration tools like Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Support hybrid cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, and GCP platforms.
  • Collaborate with development teams for version control and integration support.
  • Document operational processes and maintain an updated knowledge base.
  • Ensure system availability and data integrity through robust backup solutions.
  • Integrate Linux systems with Windows infrastructure using Samba and Active Directory.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience managing Linux systems in production environments.
  • Proficiency in shell scripting and Python for automation tasks.
  • Experience with hybrid cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • Familiarity with integrating Linux systems with Windows infrastructure.
  • Financial services industry experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work on-site Monday through Friday.
