Overview
- Provide pharmaceutical care to adult and pediatric patients in a dynamic emergency department setting.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Respond to medical emergencies, delivering critical pharmaceutical interventions.
- Support pediatric and neonatal intensive care units with specialized pharmaceutical expertise.
- Engage in operational and distributive pharmacy services as required.
- Serve as a preceptor for pharmacy residents and student pharmacists, fostering professional development.
- Work primarily evening shifts, including weekdays and every third weekend.
- Contribute to a culture of patient-focused, whole-person care and mutual respect.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Provide direct patient care in emergency medicine, ensuring accurate medication management.
- Participate in medical emergencies, delivering timely pharmaceutical interventions.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient treatment plans.
- Support pediatric and neonatal intensive care units with specialized pharmaceutical care.
- Contribute to operational and distributive pharmacy services as needed.
- Act as a mentor and preceptor for pharmacy residents and students.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Participate in continuous professional development and training initiatives.
Job Requirements
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Active Oregon Pharmacist License upon hire.
- Minimum of 3 years of acute care hospital pharmacy experience.
- Preferred completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency program.
- Experience in emergency medicine and pediatric pharmacy is advantageous.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work evening shifts and weekends as required.
