Senior Estimator

Overview

• Lead the estimation process for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to budgets.
• Collaborate with project teams to develop cost-effective solutions for design-build projects.
• Analyze project specifications and requirements to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Provide expert guidance on cost management strategies to optimize project outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all estimation activities.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to support project success.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimation processes and methodologies.
• Support the development of junior estimators through mentorship and training.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Prepare and present detailed cost estimates for construction projects using design-build methodologies.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to align estimates with project goals.
• Analyze construction documents and specifications to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Monitor and update project budgets throughout the lifecycle of the project.
• Conduct market research to ensure accurate pricing and sourcing of materials.
• Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
• Provide regular reports and updates on project cost performance to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant construction codes and standards.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction estimation; 15 years preferred.
• Proficiency in construction estimation software and tools.
• Strong knowledge of design-build project methodologies and cost management strategies.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
