Job Description

Overview

  • Collaborate with attorneys and leadership to design strategic pricing solutions and innovative fee arrangements supporting firm growth and profitability.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to enhance business intelligence across practices and offices.
  • Develop detailed matter budgets and financial models for various fee arrangements, including fixed, capped, and contingency structures.
  • Conduct sensitivity and scenario analyses to evaluate staffing models, realization, and margin impact.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, including productivity, KPI, client, and attorney performance metrics.
  • Lead training sessions on pricing strategy, financial literacy, and use of business intelligence tools.
  • Assist with budgeting and pricing components for RFP responses and client negotiations.
  • Provide ad hoc financial analyses and presentations for senior management and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Collaborate with attorneys to develop effective pricing strategies and fee arrangements supporting practice growth.
  • Conduct profitability analysis at matter, client, and practice levels to inform strategic decisions.
  • Utilize data visualization tools to analyze complex financial and operational data.
  • Advise attorneys on pricing best practices and risk assessment for alternative fee arrangements.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, including productivity and performance metrics.
  • Lead training sessions on financial tools and matter management techniques.
  • Support business development with budgeting and pricing for RFP responses.
  • Provide firmwide support through ad hoc financial analyses and presentations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows-based systems.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in legal pricing or financial planning and analysis; six years preferred.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools, including Power BI and data visualization techniques.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability and ability to drive consensus across departments.
  • Commitment to exceptional client service and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Flexibility to work additional hours as needed in a fast-paced environment.
