Payroll Specialist

Overview

• Manage payroll operations for a large workforce, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to maintain seamless data integration.
• Support system transitions and optimize payroll processes for efficiency.
• Handle employee inquiries related to compensation, deductions, and tax documentation.
• Prepare payroll reports and assist with internal and external audits.
• Monitor changes in payroll legislation and implement compliance measures.
• Contribute to year-end processes, including reconciliations and W-2 preparation.
• Participate in payroll projects and provide feedback for system enhancements.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Process payroll bi-weekly/semi-monthly and ensuring accuracy.
• Apply payroll laws, tax regulations, and benefit deductions to operations.
• Maintain payroll systems and ensure data integrity and optimization.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance for accurate employee data management.
• Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare audit reports.
• Respond to employee compensation-related inquiries professionally.
• Assist in developing payroll procedures and documentation.
• Support compliance by monitoring legislative changes and industry practices.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required.
• Minimum 5 years of payroll experience; 7 years preferred.
• Proficiency in payroll systems like ADP, UKG, or Workday.
• Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and tax requirements.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder collaboration.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.
• Experience in process improvement and system optimization preferred.
