Job Description

Overview

  • Assist in managing complex real estate finance transactions, including construction loans, syndications, and joint venture recapitalizations.
  • Collaborate with attorneys to ensure seamless execution of multijurisdictional financing projects.
  • Perform detailed due diligence, focusing on title and survey review and compliance analysis.
  • Draft and review real estate finance documentation under attorney supervision.
  • Coordinate and facilitate transaction closings, including preparation of closing checklists and deliverables.
  • Conduct legal research on real estate finance issues relevant to jurisdictional requirements.
  • Serve as a liaison for clients and third parties throughout transaction processes.
  • Engage in a hybrid work environment, combining remote and on-site collaboration.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage legal and diligence checklists for real estate finance transactions.
  • Review and analyze title and survey documents for compliance with transaction requirements.
  • Negotiate agreements related to title and survey to ensure transaction success.
  • Coordinate execution of signature pages and timely delivery of transaction documents.
  • Prepare closing binders and manage post-closing documentation efficiently.
  • Draft conveyance documents for secondary market transactions.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and clients to ensure smooth transaction workflows.
  • Utilize advanced software platforms for document management and electronic recording.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree with Paralegal certification required.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in real estate finance transactions; five years preferred.
  • Proficiency in title and survey review and analysis for compliance.
  • Knowledge of jurisdictional real property statutes and recording practices.
  • Experience with software platforms such as iManage, Excel, SharePoint, and online portals.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in managing tasks.
  • Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment with collaborative teamwork.
