Overview
- Lead the financial reporting function for a global organization, ensuring compliance and accuracy in disclosures.
- Oversee SEC reporting, technical accounting, and governance processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Ensure adherence to U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and internal policies while managing reporting deadlines.
- Act as a subject-matter expert on complex accounting areas, including revenue recognition and stock-based compensation.
- Develop and implement global accounting policies for consistent application across business units.
- Mentor and lead a high-performing financial reporting team to achieve organizational goals.
- Collaborate with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Legal, and finance teams to ensure accurate financial information.
- Support strategic initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, and process transformation projects.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Prepare, review, and file SEC reports, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K.
- Oversee quarterly earnings materials and support Investor Relations with financial data.
- Manage XBRL tagging and quality control for all filings to ensure accuracy.
- Research, interpret, and implement new accounting standards and regulatory changes.
- Develop and maintain global accounting policies for consistent application across business units.
- Lead and mentor the financial reporting team, fostering professional growth and development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and complete financial information.
- Support strategic initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, and process transformation projects.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification required.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting or financial reporting, with Big Four and corporate experience preferred.
- Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and SOX compliance.
- Experience in a global, publicly traded company is strongly preferred.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and leadership skills to manage priorities effectively.
- Proficiency with ERP systems like SAP and Oracle, and consolidation tools such as HFM.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
