Overview
- Contribute to the growth of the insurance and reinsurance businesses within a dynamic investment platform.
- Develop and oversee consolidated accounting and reporting under STAT/GAAP/EBS methodologies.
- Collaborate with executive leadership and stakeholders to drive financial performance and operational excellence.
- Manage Bermuda-based finance teams and oversee day-to-day accounting operations.
- Forecast business performance and compare results to projections for strategic decision-making.
- Design and implement financial and operational best practices to support platform evolution.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain robust control systems.
- Enhance processes and infrastructure to support high growth and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Design and oversee financial reporting systems and processes for insurance and reinsurance businesses.
- Prepare quarterly financial statements and performance reports for stakeholders.
- Perform management fee calculations, expense accruals, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Collaborate with investment professionals, legal, compliance, and operations teams to ensure proper controls.
- Research and implement strategies to improve accounting and financial reporting efficiency.
- Manage relationships with third-party partners and outsourced accounting providers.
- Support executive leadership in shaping a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Drive strategic initiatives to enhance the platform's financial infrastructure and reporting capabilities.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance accounting or related functions.
- Preferred 15 years of experience in investment accounting or financial planning.
- CPA certification strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in STAT/GAAP/EBS methodologies and financial reporting standards.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience in collaborating with executive leadership and managing finance teams.
