Job Description

Overview

  • Contribute to the growth of the insurance and reinsurance businesses within a dynamic investment platform.
  • Develop and oversee consolidated accounting and reporting under STAT/GAAP/EBS methodologies.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and stakeholders to drive financial performance and operational excellence.
  • Manage Bermuda-based finance teams and oversee day-to-day accounting operations.
  • Forecast business performance and compare results to projections for strategic decision-making.
  • Design and implement financial and operational best practices to support platform evolution.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain robust control systems.
  • Enhance processes and infrastructure to support high growth and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Design and oversee financial reporting systems and processes for insurance and reinsurance businesses.
  • Prepare quarterly financial statements and performance reports for stakeholders.
  • Perform management fee calculations, expense accruals, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with investment professionals, legal, compliance, and operations teams to ensure proper controls.
  • Research and implement strategies to improve accounting and financial reporting efficiency.
  • Manage relationships with third-party partners and outsourced accounting providers.
  • Support executive leadership in shaping a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Drive strategic initiatives to enhance the platform's financial infrastructure and reporting capabilities.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance accounting or related functions.
  • Preferred 15 years of experience in investment accounting or financial planning.
  • CPA certification strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in STAT/GAAP/EBS methodologies and financial reporting standards.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Experience in collaborating with executive leadership and managing finance teams.
