Microsoft Systems Engineer

Overview

• The Microsoft Systems Engineer role involves designing, administering, and improving Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance, security, and efficient operations.
• Manage platforms like SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Teams, and Azure services.
• Lead projects including migrations, tenant changes, and service rollouts.
• Drive adoption of best practices and contribute to governance standards.
• Provide technical expertise in Microsoft 365 administration and Azure automation.
• Ensure reliability and great end-user experience for a dynamic organization.
• Support hybrid work model with occasional travel for team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Administer Microsoft 365 platforms ensuring operational health and compliance.
• Configure and manage Entra ID, Conditional Access, and identity governance.
• Design and implement SharePoint Online governance and lifecycle management.
• Administer Exchange Online mail flow and anti-spam/phishing policies.
• Configure Teams policies, lifecycle, and Teams Phone governance.
• Implement security and compliance policies using Microsoft Purview.
• Manage Azure subscriptions, resource groups, and automation workflows.
• Deliver projects including migrations and tenant onboarding/offboarding.
• Create dashboards for service health and security posture monitoring.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• 5–7+ years of experience in Microsoft ecosystems administration.
• Expertise in Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Azure, and Purview platforms.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph.
• Strong understanding of security, compliance, and zero trust principles.
• Experience with ITIL processes and structured testing methodologies.
• Preferred certifications: Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert, Azure Administrator Associate.
• Ability to travel up to 10% for site visits and team collaboration.
• Experience in commercial real estate environments is advantageous.
