Job Description

Overview

  • Assist in billing rate analysis, alternative fee arrangements, and client budgeting to support financial operations.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to design revenue-related reports and presentations for strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor client and matter budgets, providing timely updates and follow-ups as necessary.
  • Utilize financial software to generate accurate reports and metrics on a regular basis.
  • Engage with client contacts to discuss periodic rate and budget matters effectively.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of alternative fee arrangement methodologies.
  • Support special projects and initiatives as assigned by leadership.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct detailed analyses of billing rates and alternative fee arrangements for pricing proposals.
  • Prepare client and matter budgets, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Generate and distribute billing, collections, and realization reports on a scheduled basis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop revenue-related reports and presentations.
  • Engage with clients and internal stakeholders to discuss financial performance and budget adjustments.
  • Utilize financial software to manage large datasets and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Support the implementation of alternative fee arrangements and financial strategies.
  • Contribute to special projects and initiatives to enhance financial operations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis or related field; law firm experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in financial software such as Aderant and advanced Excel modeling skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex financial information.
  • Ability to handle confidential data with discretion and professionalism.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities.
