Job Description

Overview

  • Support the Insurance Department in managing group insurance policies for the client and its affiliates.
  • Focus on accounting and administration of insurance policies across various lines.
  • Collaborate with brokers and insurance companies to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Work in a dynamic, multicultural environment with diverse stakeholders.
  • Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills for reporting and documentation.
  • Assist with audits, renewals, and declarations for domestic and international insurance.
  • Ensure timely processing of payments, transfers, and billings for insurance-related activities.
  • Maintain accurate records and statements from brokers and insurance providers.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage accounting tasks including payments, transfers, billings, and accounts receivable/payable for insurance lines.
  • Process monthly and quarterly sales reports for domestic, import, and export activities.
  • Assist with shipping insurance declarations, certificates of insurance, invoices, and payments.
  • Renew bonds, manage billing and payments, and ensure compliance with insurance limits.
  • Support audits and obtain renewal information from affiliates and subsidiaries.
  • Coordinate with brokers to review monthly statements and ensure accuracy.
  • Provide evidence of insurance and certificates to affiliates and subsidiaries as needed.
  • Request commodity names for product liability accounting rates and manage related tasks.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in insurance, business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum three years of experience with brokers and insurance companies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for detailed reporting and documentation.
  • Ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Experience in a multicultural business environment is preferred.
  • Preferred certifications in insurance or related fields are advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills to manage complex insurance-related tasks effectively.
