Job Description

Overview

  • Perform radiographic procedures ensuring high-quality imaging and patient safety across main and satellite locations.
  • Assist with fluoroscopic procedures while maintaining clean and adequately stocked rooms.
  • Assess patient condition, ensuring proper positioning, immobilization, and safe transfer techniques.
  • Adhere to ALARA principles and infection control policies to minimize radiation exposure.
  • Accurately complete requisitions and verify patient identity using two identifiers.
  • Maintain thorough records and efficiently complete assigned quality assurance tasks.
  • Operate diagnostic radiographic equipment and promptly report equipment malfunctions.
  • Supervise and support the clinical instruction of student radiographers.
  • Maintain professional competency through continuing education and compliance with certification requirements.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

Job Requirements

  • Graduation from an American Medical Association–approved Radiologic Technology program.
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a Staff Radiologic Technologist in a hospital setting preferred.
  • Current New York State licensure in Radiologic Technology.
  • Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Strong communication, time management, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in basic computer and data entry tasks.
  • Commitment to maintaining professional competency through continuing education.
  • Ability to adhere to hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
