Job Description

Overview

  • Lead fund accounting and financial reporting for hedge fund vehicles, ensuring compliance and accuracy in deliverables.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize operational processes and enhance reporting efficiency.
  • Manage relationships with fund managers, administrators, and distributors for seamless operational coordination.
  • Oversee fund compliance with partnership agreements and regulatory requirements, maintaining adherence to standards.
  • Monitor cash positions, liquidity, and manage expense allocation processes to ensure financial stability.
  • Support fund structuring, setup, and onboarding activities for smooth operational transitions.
  • Ensure timely delivery of audited financials, tax deliverables, and capital activity reports to stakeholders.
  • Define and maintain operating policies and procedures for fund operations to promote consistency and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop and implement efficient processes for servicing hedge fund vehicles, ensuring operational excellence.
  • Enhance automation and scalability of fund operations and reporting systems in collaboration with management.
  • Collaborate with Investor Relations, Legal, and Compliance teams to support fund operations and regulatory adherence.
  • Monitor fund compliance with regulatory filings and requirements, ensuring alignment with industry standards.
  • Provide oversight of fund administrators to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Manage cash reserves and reconciliations to maintain financial stability and transparency.
  • Run accounts payable and expense allocation processes efficiently to support fund operations.
  • Liaise with custodians, banks, and other counterparties to ensure smooth operational coordination.
  • Support new fund structuring and onboarding activities to facilitate seamless integration into operations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree required; advanced degree preferred for enhanced expertise.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in fund accounting or financial management; 15 years preferred for senior-level proficiency.
  • Strong knowledge of SEC and FINRA regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Proficiency in managing relationships with fund managers and administrators to foster collaboration.
  • Experience in process automation and operational scalability to enhance efficiency.
  • Ability to oversee financial reporting and capital activity deliverables with precision.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills to drive team and project success.
