Overview

  • Drive financial excellence as a Senior Accountant in a dynamic organization, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and operational efficiency in financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes and enhance organizational performance.
  • Lead and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of growth and teamwork.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.
  • Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies, implementing solutions to improve accuracy and compliance.
  • Develop and refine accounting policies to strengthen internal controls and operational integrity.
  • Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and precise reporting.
  • Support external audits by preparing documentation and addressing inquiries effectively.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform detailed month-end reporting, including financial statement preparation and analysis.
  • Review and reconcile intercompany transactions, addressing discrepancies promptly.
  • Document and enhance accounting processes to ensure regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Assist in preparing audit documentation and respond to external auditor inquiries.
  • Lead and support accounting staff to achieve accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Analyze financial statement variances, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
  • Participate in special projects and ad hoc reporting requests as required.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within a service-oriented organization.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills; experience with Hyperion and Great Plains preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, including FASB/GAAP and SOX compliance.
  • CPA certification with public accounting or audit experience is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and teamwork across departments.
