Job Description
Overview
- Provide trauma-informed case management for justice-involved individuals in Brooklyn.
- Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop treatment recommendations for court-mandated clients.
- Collaborate with court stakeholders to ensure compliance with treatment mandates.
- Utilize evidence-based practices to reduce recidivism and improve client outcomes.
- Coordinate with community partners for service provision and interventions.
- Manage client information and maintain accurate documentation.
- Participate in interdisciplinary case conferences and team meetings.
- Support clients during court appearances and provide crisis intervention as needed.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Conduct detailed psychosocial evaluations and render diagnoses using DSM-5-TR.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on risk-needs-responsivity models.
- Collaborate with correctional health services for client release coordination.
- Provide case management addressing substance use, mental health, and housing needs.
- Monitor client compliance with court mandates and coordinate responses to non-compliance.
- Establish and maintain relationships with community-based organizations.
- Attend court sessions and provide support to assigned participants.
- Assist in the development of clinical initiatives and evidence-based interventions.
Job Requirements
- Master of Social Work (MSW) degree with LMSW licensure in New York State.
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in criminal justice or related fields.
- Strong skills in biopsychosocial assessments and clinical diagnosis.
- Experience with justice-involved populations and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Proficiency in time management and written communication.
- Ability to maintain relationships with multiple agencies and stakeholders.
- Bilingual candidates strongly preferred.
- Availability for full-time onsite work in Brooklyn, NY.
