Job Description

Overview

  • Lead estimation efforts for aviation infrastructure projects, including airplane hangars and distribution centers, ensuring accurate and competitive project proposals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop cost-effective solutions for heavy PEMB, industrial, warehousing, and distribution projects.
  • Contribute to the expansion of a nationwide network of private aviation facilities designed for based aircraft.
  • Provide expertise in estimating for aviation infrastructure projects, leveraging industry knowledge and experience.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all project estimations and proposals.
  • Support the client’s mission to establish a network of Home Base Operator campuses across various locations.
  • Offer insights and recommendations to optimize project costs and timelines.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare detailed estimates for aviation infrastructure projects, including materials, labor, and equipment costs.
  • Analyze project specifications and drawings to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align estimates with project goals.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, pricing, and technologies relevant to aviation infrastructure.
  • Develop and present comprehensive estimation reports to support decision-making processes.
  • Ensure accurate tracking and documentation of all estimation activities and project costs.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior estimators and team members.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimation processes and tools.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in estimation, with 10 years preferred.
  • Proven expertise in heavy PEMB, aviation, industrial, warehousing, and distribution projects.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate project specifications and develop accurate cost estimates.
  • Proficiency in estimation software and tools commonly used in the industry.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Willingness to travel as required, with travel packages and allowances provided.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism in all estimation activities.
