Overview
- Provide comprehensive nursing care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a dynamic healthcare environment.
- Coordinate medical care, monitor health needs, and arrange follow-up care as necessary.
- Conduct health assessments and document findings to ensure optimal care delivery.
- Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, families, and healthcare providers.
- Develop and update individual-specific nursing plans and protocols.
- Supervise medication administration and provide training for staff as needed.
- Monitor dietary and nutritional needs, providing guidance to support staff.
- Participate in clinical reviews and evaluations to enhance care quality.
Key Responsibilities & Duties

Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and current RN license in New York State.
- CPR certification and experience with developmental disabilities preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Valid NY State or Tri-state area Driver's License preferred.
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in developing and updating nursing plans and protocols.
- Knowledge of medication administration and compliance with federal and state regulations.
