Overview
- Lead wastewater engineering projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and local regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement wastewater systems.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineering staff.
- Engage in business development activities to expand client relationships.
- Utilize CAD and Revit software for project design and documentation.
- Interact with private owners, developers, and public agencies on infrastructure projects.
- Manage large-scale sewer infrastructure projects in collaboration with Suffolk County Department of Work.
- Ensure project deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Design and oversee the construction of sewers, pumping stations, and wastewater treatment plants.
- Develop technical solutions for complex wastewater engineering challenges.
- Coordinate with clients to define project scope and requirements.
- Prepare detailed engineering reports and documentation.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to design specifications.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide training on industry best practices.
- Utilize CAD and Revit software for design and visualization purposes.
- Participate in stakeholder meetings to present project updates and findings.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in wastewater engineering.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is mandatory.
- Proficiency in CAD and Revit software is highly desirable.
- Experience managing teams and mentoring junior staff.
- Strong knowledge of sewer infrastructure and wastewater treatment systems.
- Ability to engage in business development and client relationship management.
- Local experience in Long Island or surrounding areas is preferred.
