Job Description

Overview

  • Lead wastewater engineering projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and local regulations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement wastewater systems.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineering staff.
  • Engage in business development activities to expand client relationships.
  • Utilize CAD and Revit software for project design and documentation.
  • Interact with private owners, developers, and public agencies on infrastructure projects.
  • Manage large-scale sewer infrastructure projects in collaboration with Suffolk County Department of Work.
  • Ensure project deliverables are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Design and oversee the construction of sewers, pumping stations, and wastewater treatment plants.
  • Develop technical solutions for complex wastewater engineering challenges.
  • Coordinate with clients to define project scope and requirements.
  • Prepare detailed engineering reports and documentation.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to design specifications.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide training on industry best practices.
  • Utilize CAD and Revit software for design and visualization purposes.
  • Participate in stakeholder meetings to present project updates and findings.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in wastewater engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in CAD and Revit software is highly desirable.
  • Experience managing teams and mentoring junior staff.
  • Strong knowledge of sewer infrastructure and wastewater treatment systems.
  • Ability to engage in business development and client relationship management.
  • Local experience in Long Island or surrounding areas is preferred.
